Develop and update labour budget graphs to monitor cost status

Principal Tasks
Administering the Contracts in their area of the project with respect to:-
Ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of Contract;
Interface with Area Superintendents for all contractual matters and support services;
Monitor contractor for compliance with all contract deliverables;
Managing change and recording and obtaining authorisation in accordance with Project Change Management Procedures.

Actively participate in and support Incident and Injury Free culture (IIF)

Inspect the work under each contract daily and advise the contractor of any corrective actions needed as they occur.
Ensure contractors are working to the latest revisions of the Drawings and Specifications.

Identify and obtain approvals for additional work outside the original contract/project scope of work prior to implementation.
Assist maintaining documentation relating to work within the contract.

Assist with maintaining detailed records of contractors progress against schedule and review with the Area Superintendent measures necessary to ensure compliance with the project implementation schedule.
Ensure that all Quality requirements are being adhered to. Actively participate in quality inspections and sign off on Hold Points, Witness Points etc. where required.
Report daily on progress, material deliveries, number and type of contractors men and equipment, design errors and shortages encountered and difficulties experienced. Reports on progress must include for deficiencies in the Contractors management of his work where it had a direct impact on progress. Assist in ensuring that the contractor is carrying out work which will enable the contractors schedule and milestone deliveries to be accomplished.
Assist in compiling the Area Superintendent weekly report on the progress of each work area.
Attend the daily pre-starts and weekly meetings with contractors.
Assist in co-ordinating with BHPBIO Operations to facilitate minimum interruption to railings whilst maximising the opportunity to carry out Works.
Assist Contractors in the preparation and approval process for Permits required to do the Works
Assist in the formal inspections and punch lists to be prepared during the period leading to completion of individual contracts.
Coordinate with construction personnel, contractors, statutory authorities, client etc. to arrange operational shutdowns, relocations or tie-ins to existing plant and services.

Position Description
